Coach Buscemi is entering his 5th year as Loyola’s head varsity coach.  He graduated college from the University of Detroit Mercy in December of 2000.  His first four years of coaching were spent as an assistant under Robert Brown. Coach Buscemi has also been teaching science at Loyola the entire time.  A long time Catholic Leaguer, his passion for the game began as a player at Center Line St. Clement.  He prides himself in not only developing better basketball players, but developing better men.  He says, “We must be patient.  The true success of our basketball program will be determined five and ten years from now when these guys have college degrees, jobs, and families.”
